Hi, I am Praveen Soni, Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Academic Senate at California State University, Long Beach. My thanks to the Academic Senate for once again reposing their trust and confidence in me by electing me to this crucial position for a third term. I have worked hard to live up to the Senate’s expectations and build upon the campus community’s trust and confidence. I will continue to do the same this year. The Academic Senate Mission Statement will be my guide and as the Chair, I will endeavor to advance the mission in all my undertakings.
I hope that you will find the Academic Senate Website to be a useful resource whether you are a faculty member, staff, student, or visitor from off-campus. Here you can find information about the structure of the Senate including various councils and committees, our University Policy Statements listed by subject, numerically, and alphabetically, and links to various resources of particular interest to our faculty.
