You may be asking yourself, what exactly is SAM? SAM stands for Society for Advancement of Management, and that's exactly what we are. A club at California State University Long Beach, our goal is to become the best that we can be in our field (all majors are welcome!) in order to further that field as a whole in the real world.

A typical SAM meeting may include a speaker panel, which will consist of a handful of speakers. They are usually involved in business whether they be actual managers, business owners, or really any management related field. These panel series allow the listeners to learn more about how exactly the wonderful world of business runs and eventually mold their skill accordingly. The panel series are very informative, but usually presented in a down-to-earth fashion.

SAM also hosts numerous events throughout the year, such as mixers, barbeques, and events which allow members to interact and network. The members of SAM essentially are SAM and their well being is very important to that of the club's. We encourage members to attend these events, as they are a great way to get to know the club and it's members, and to bond over the common interest of business, but to have fun at the same time!

So ask yourself. What do you see in your future? Is it a big question mark? If yes, you may want to consider adding the Society for Advancement of Management to your agenda.
