The CSULB Research Infrastructure in Minority Institutions (RIMI) Project

Supporting Health Equity Research at
California State University, Long Beach
The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) Research Infrastructure in Minority Institutions (RIMI) mechanism is designed “...to build, strengthen and/or enhance the research infrastructure and research training capacity of minority-serving institutions.” California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) was awarded a generous multi-year NIMHD RIMI grant in fall 2009 to provide support and resources to faculty and students conducting health disparities research at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). (Grant number 5P20MD003942). CSULB’s RIMI activities focus on public health, health behavior and community-based strategies to conducting research designed to promote health equity.
This website is designed to facilitate faculty and student research endeavors, and to create linkages between the various colleges and departments involved in RIMI activities across the CSULB campus.
