WASC Self-Study Steering Committee 2005-06

WHEREAS, The Western Association of Schools and Colleges granted CSULB continuation of accreditation in 2000; and
WHEREAS, The campus design for the University Self-Study Report must be submitted to WASC by October 2006; therefore be it
RESOLVED:

That the California State University, Long Beach Academic Senate call for the formation of an ad hoc University Self-Study Steering Committee composed of the following members:

  1. Chair, Academic Senate, and the elected members of the Executive Committee;
  2. A Statewide Academic Senator, selected by the Executive Committee of the CSULB Academic Senate;
  3. Chair, Curriculum and Educational Policies Council;
  4. Chair, Program and Assessment Review Council;
  5. Chair, University Resources Council;
  6. Chair, Faculty Personnel Policies Council;
  7. Vice President for Academic Affairs;
  8. Vice President for Administration and Finance;
  9. Vice President for Student Services;
  10. Vice President for University Relations and Development;
  11. Vice Provost for Enrollment & Director of Strategic Planning
  12. Three (3) senior administrators appointed by the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
  13. Assistant Vice President, Institutional Research and Assessment
  14. Chair, Staff Council;
  15. President, Associated Students, Inc.;
  16. Chapter President, California Faculty Association; and
  17. WASC Liaison Officer/Accreditation Coordinator.

and be it further

RESOLVED:

That the University Self-Study Steering Committee be charged with:

  1. designing and scheduling the preparation of the Self-Study Report;
  2. reviewing and, if necessary, editing drafts of the report;
  3. resolving points of possible controversy;
  4. submitting the draft Self-Study Report to the President; and
  5. reviewing the President's proposed changes prior to submission of the final report to the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
