"How do I find books on my topic?"

To find books use COAST, the library catalog. Start with a keyword search. Click on "submit search" to see what Mizael's search looks like:

Use COAST to find government documents, DVDs, CDs, maps, e-books, and other materials owned, subscribed to or made available by the CSULB Library. Also use COAST to search the library's Special Collections.

  • Search by keywords, Title or Author.
  • Write down the book's call number and use it to find the location of the item.
  • You can add common Library of Congress Subject Headings such as law and legislation, statistics, social aspects, psychological aspects, or history to your topic. For example, alcohol statistics or advertising social aspects.
