Price

$150 per child. This cost includes two weeks of tutoring, parking, and a final report provided to the parents of the child. A limited number of needs-based scholarships are available. These include the following:

80% off administrative fees if the child qualifies for free/reduced lunch at school or if the family income is below HHS Poverty Guidelines. ($30)
50% off administrative fees if the child attends private school on scholarship. ($75)
50% off administrative fees if the parent/guardians or client is currently a CSULB student. ($75)

Purpose

The purpose of the Summer Math/Algebra Clinic is to provide the children from the community targeted, individualized instruction on math skills, and to provide a training site for the tutors, who are advanced graduate students enrolled in CSULB practicum courses. This Math/Algebra Clinic is an excellent way to give your child a jump start for fall. Sessions are tailored to help children (ages 6 through 17) make demonstrable progress toward critical academic goals in order to achieve success in school. A final report is provided detailing the assessment results, the child's responsiveness to intervention, and recommendations for future academic interventions.

Once received, your application will be given to our Clinic Director, Dr. Kristin Powers, for review.
You will be contacted shortly after receipt of your application to confirm the status of your application.
Once you are either admitted or placed on the wait-list, our Clinic staff will remain in contact with you to answer any of your questions and to provide you with parking, payment, and further instructions.

*Services are on a first come, first serve basis and level of need. Therefore, the earlier your application is received, the greater chance of qualifing for the service.
