The Political Reform Act, Government Code Sections 8100, et seq. requires that officials and employees who are designated in the CSU’s conflict of interest code to file a Statement of Economic Interests, Form 700, when assuming office, annually, and upon exit. Employees in designated positions also must complete ethics training within the first 6 months of appointment and every two years thereafter. In 2005, the California Legislature enacted Government Code section 12950.1 which requires managers, supervisors and others with supervisory duties to have specific prevention training on sexual harassment. Mandatory 2-hour training for supervisors is available online and must be taken within 6 months of appointment into a supervisory position and every 2 years thereafter.
