The Institute for Integrated Research in Materials, Environments, and Society (IIRMES) serves to embrace and extend existing interdisciplinary research collaborations between faculty and students from the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) and the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) at California State University Long Beach (CSULB).
IIRMES provides hands-on opportunities for students and faculty members who wish to pursue academic studies in the physical, natural and social sciences. The Institute’s mission is to develop responsive research and educational programs involving students and faculty members from across the campus. Beyond the immediate direct and indirect benefits to faculty and students , IIRMES is a focal point of scholastic collaboration aids in the recruitment and retention of students and faculty. IIRMES helps make CSULB the “University of Choice” for individuals who wish to gain a better perspective of the origins of the universe, and the evolution of life and human society. |
