Students. Students in the Applied Anthropology Program come from a variety of national, cultural, and professional backgrounds. Many are working professionals; others come from undergraduate programs throughout the United States and around the world.
Master's students in the Applied Anthropology Program have won a significant share of University-wide awards. Students find topics that blend their interests with the regional, national, and international interests of full-time and associated faculty.
Outside the University, Long Beach supports a lively coffee house, café and club culture shaped by students at CSULB. Student extracurricular interests often include attending regional multicultural events, work, family, friends, and the beach.
