International students enrich the Master's program and are encouraged to apply. All international students should include in their Department application all of the information required for domestic students. In addition, instead of applying directly to the Office of Admissions, which is required of the domestic students, international students should apply to the Center for International Education. Please note that all information required in this application, such as the Graduate Application Form (along with the U.S. $55.00 fee, which must accompany the application; see below) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score (which must be 550 or higher), the required educational documents, and the Affidavit of Support, should be sent directly to the Center. For more information about the university and international admission procedures please browse the University's main website on the link below. Note: Students should apply to both the Center for International Education and the Department for admission to any of the graduate programs in Anthropology. The Center application filing period for the Fall 2002 semester is November 1, 2001-March 31, 2002 and the Department application deadline is April 15, 2002.

There are two ways for Chinese mainland applicants to arrange for payment of the $55.00 fee: (1) They may ask a relative or friend in the U.S. to make payment in their behalf. If this method is used, the applicant must send the completed application packet to the person making the payment so he or she can send it to the University, along with the fee. (2) They may enclose in their application packet a check drawn on a mainland branch of the Bank of Hong Kong, being certain to include the micro entry number.
