Proposition 92, the Community College Initiative, will be going before voters on February 5, 2008. This measure makes major changes to the state constitution and state laws relating to California Community Colleges. While the California State University (CSU) supports community colleges and the role they play in educating Californians, Proposition 92 if passed could result in unintended problems that will negatively impact the CSU and threaten funding for other critical California programs. The CSU Board of Trustees and the Alumni Association have taken positions against Proposition 92.
