President's Ambassadors

Mission Statement

The mission of the California State University, Long Beach President's Ambassador Program is to:

  • Represent the University and the University President with the highest standards on and off campus at all times.
  • Serve the University’s needs and the needs of the surrounding community.
  • Support and enhance the University’s understanding of its unique diversity.
  • Create an atmosphere that is conducive to the development of each President’s Ambassador’s personal and professional life beyond other University experiences.

All of the above shall adhere to the goals and mission of the President and promote the best interest of the University and its students.

How We Got Started

From the beginning of his tenure in 1994 President Emeritus, Robert Maxson worked diligently to showcase the excellence of CSULB. President Maxson felt that some of the best representatives of CSULB were students, and thus, the President’s Ambassadors Program was born.

Since President King Alexander assumed leadership over CSULB in 2006 he has embraced and supported the program whole heartedly. President Alexander is always looking for new ways for the Ambassadors to take an active role on campus and to engage in effective communication with all constituents of the University and the surrounding community.

How We Can Help

Although the President's Ambassadors were established to assist the University President we are always willing to extend our BEACH pride to any division, department, or organization that is hosting event and could use some outstanding student representation. If you are in need of volunteers please contact the Program Coordinator for further information.
