CSULB installed the Connect-Ed multi-modal communication service to deliver time-sensitive notifications to its students and employees in emergency situations. This Emergency Notification System (ENS) will allow the university to broadcast voice message to cell phones and landlines, text messages to cell phones, PDAs and other text-based devices, written messages to e-mail accounts and messages to TTY/TDD receiving devices for the hearing impaired.
