Students may park in lots designated as General Parking (Lots 1, 11A, 11B, 12, 13, 14A, 14B, 14C, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21 and Parking Structures 1, 2 and 3) unless the space is otherwise restricted with posted signage. Students may also park in lots designated as Restricted Parking after 5:30 p.m., and all day on weekends. Please visit our campus map to view the different parking locations on campus. Paid parking is required at all times when parking on campus.
Student virtual permits are available for purchase online via e-check (no fee) or credit card (2.75% convenience fee). Student parking permits are valid one week prior to the start of instruction. Annual student virtual permits are valid at the start of summer session and end with the spring semester.

Student Parking Fees (effective July 1, 2017)
Annual, fall, and spring parking prices are prorated depending on the date of purchase. Contact 562.985.2222 for the current prorated price.
CSULB now uses the License Plate Recognition (LPR) permitting system. The vehicle’s license plate will be used to verify parking purchases. No physical permits will be issued.
Where to Park
Student parking is valid in all lots designated as General Parking. Student parking is also valid in lots designated as Restricted Parking after 5:30 p.m., and all day on the weekends. Vehicles with student virtual permits will be cited if parked in Restricted Parking lots prior to 5:30 p.m. For locations of all General Parking and Restricted Parking lots on campus, please see our campus map.
Fall, spring or academic year virtual permits may be refunded based on the current value remaining on the permit at the time of return. Refund applications are accepted at the Cashiers Office. Summer virtual permits are nonrefundable.
Student Residents On Campus
Students living on campus must park in designated resident spaces in Lots 14D, 14C and 19. On campus residential parking privileges are also valid in General Parking lots after 5:30 p.m., all day on weekends, or in Beachside spaces during Beachside dining hall hours. This parking designation provides parking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, therefore no additional CSULB parking privileges will be issued.
Student Residents at Beachside
Students living at Beachside must park in designated resident spaces at Beachside. Beachside parking privileges are also valid in General Parking lots after 5:30 p.m., all day on weekends, and Lot 20 spaces during Hillside and Parkside dining hall hours. This parking designation provides parking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, therefore no additional CSULB parking privileges will be issued.
Resident Motorcycle Option
Residents who have purchased a Residential virtual permit may choose to exchange their permit for a valid Motorcycle permit at no additional charge by visiting the Cashiers Office in Brotman Hall.
All guests of residents must purchase either Daily or Overnight parking in order to avoid citation.
Hillside and Parkside guests may park in General Parking lots for daily parking. Overnight parking is valid only in Lot 20.
Beachside guests may park in Short-Term parking spaces at the Beachside campus. Overnight parking is available for purchase starting at 5 p.m.
Employees living in campus Residence Halls will park using their Employee virtual permit. Employees may park in Employee or General lot spaces including the Employee spaces at the Beachside Campus. Employees may not park any space designated as Resident.

Motorcycle parking is sold for each of the following semesters/sessions:
Motorcycle virtual permits can only be used in areas designated as motorcycle parking. View the campus map for the locations of motorcycle parking spaces. Motorcycle parking permits can be purchased at the Cashiers Office in Brotman Hall weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or online. Motorcycle parking is verified by the License Plate Recognition (LPR) permitting system.
Students using a DMV-issued Disabled Persons (DP) placard or similar distinguishing license plate must also purchase a valid form of paid parking when parking in a disabled or paid Short-Term parking space. Students requiring accessible parking are not allowed to park in Employee spaces within Restricted Parking lots. Access to Employee spaces within Restricted Parking lots is only permitted after 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, or all day on weekends. Paid parking is required at all times.
Valid paid parking may be obtained at the Cashiers Office during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily parking can be purchased at the parking pay stations located within each lot.
