Amy Myers
Limited Edition Prints

These two strikingly beautiful images are Myers' first prints and reflect the style and philosophy of her exquisite monumental drawings, presented in the UAM installation (and accompanying catalogue)
Amy Myers: Centric 60, the artist's first museum exhibition in 2000.

Influenced by her father's work as a physicist, Myers has said that her imagery evolved from their conversations about how all things are interrelated, and possess an internal logic. She says "the work...is about what we know but don't recognize. I don't conjure them up or envision them. They are a continuum..."

A Texas native, Amy Myers received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1995 and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1999. She has had one-person exhibitions at the University Art Museum, California State University, Long Beach; Mary Boone Gallery, New York; Susanne Vietmetter Los Angeles Projects; Danese Gallery, New York; Hosfelt Gallery, San Francisco; and Rhona Hoffman Gallery, Chicago. Her work has been published in distinguished publication, including Art Issues, Art on Paper, Art in America, The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times. Myers' work is included in many public and private collections, including the American Express Corporation and The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York.
