
Implacable Witness: Käthe Kollwitz Graphic Works
June 20- August 6, 2006A spokesperson for the human condition and a passionate advocate for the plight of the working class, Käthe Kollwitz recorded the struggles of the German poor from the turn of the 20th century until World War II. Kollwitz’s prints, posters, and drawings examined, with simplicity and power, parents, children, and workers who faced the pain and turmoil of that difficult period.
