The College of Engineering Open House on March 22, 2008
The College of Engineering is requesting volunteers for The College of Engineering Open House on March 22. The Invitation flyer can be found here. Seethe events page for more information for consideration of this event as a TBP eligibles project.
Message from Lily Gossage:
We would like to invite your student organization to
participate in this Open House by setting up an
information table in the VEC quad area. The
students/parents will be seated by 9:30am, so we would
like all tables (replete with table banner, displays,
hand-outs, etc.) to be set up by 9:30am. The tables
should be "manned" from 12:30pm-2:30pm (during the lunch
period). Your organization members will be provided with
lunch as well. Any student organizations that have
projects may also bring those for display. If your
student organization would like to get involved, please
let me know so that I can set aside a table for you.
We also need your help with the following. If you are able
to lend a helping hand, please also let me know:
- 1. Set-up (6:30am - 8:45am): VEC quad (can show up at ~7:30am at the latest)
- 2. Check-in/Registration (8am-9:20am): Lot 11C Canopy area
- 3. Serving Lunch (12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.): VEC quad
- 4. Clean-up (2:30pm-4pm): VEC quad
Every year, we have many Engineering students who come to
campus and don't have a place to go to, a person to relate
with. If every continuing Engineering student can connect
with a new student, what a tremendous difference this
would make.
I thank you in advance for helping us to usher in these
new prospects. I hope what you tell them during the Open
House will convince them to choose us.
Dear All: We will be holding a brief Open House event-planning meeting this Friday (March 14th) at 11am in ECS-304. Please feel free to drop by. -- Lily
