The wrap party meets before the children’s Christmas party to wrap presents to be given out at the campus hosted party. Staff volunteers wrap between 120 - 150 gifts.
The Cherishing Children Holday Party is on December 14 and hosts 100-120 children from low income or foster care facilities. Volunteers from across campus assist in the party which features music, refreshments, clowns, jugglers, crafts and games. Each child receives a gift, a goodie bag and a photo with Santa.
The toy drive runs from November 1 - December 16 with collection boxes throughout the campus. Staff, students, faculty and alumni all participate in the toy collection drive. A portion of the toys collected are set aside for the children’s party and the rest are given to the Red Cross and the LB Fire Department serving the local areas.
