1000 PUNCHES (Friday, November 14, 2008)

Sam will be leading this practice. We are doing 1000 oizukis in commemorating Master Funakoshi's birthday.
KYU TEST - BELT GRADING (Friday, November 21 , 2008)
Time/Location: 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm (approx.) @ CSULB Dojo (PE-60)
Belting Grading consist of kihon (basics), kata (form), kumite
(fighting). Train hard and be prepared for grading. Come 30 minutes
early to register and help clean and set up the dojo. All black belts
are encouraged to participate in the grading process.

All members are invited to the BBQ Picnic after Practice. Bring your
family and friends, and enjoy a beautiful day at Shotokan Ohshima Dojo.
For a donation of $10.00, a BBQ meal will provided that includes a
hamburger/hot dog (meat or veggie), bag of chips, and drink. All
proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the Shotokan Ohshima Dojo
fund. Be sure to bring a picnic blanket, frisbee, football, etc. If you
can let us know how many will be attending, so that we can ensure that
there will be enough food and beverages for all participating. Please

- Turn LEFT onto Toro Canyon Road (just past Practice Polo field)
- Turn RIGHT onto Toro Canyon Park Road
Follow the Toro Canyon Park Road to the Yakumo/Shotokan Ohshima gate. If
gate closed, at speaker phone press #03 to contact Shoto Residence
For SOUTHBOUND travelers on 101, exit at Padaro Lane , cross left over
freeway, proceed as above.
From LAX: Take 405 Fwy NORTH, at Ventura Fwy (101) Junction, go
