Our club newsletters and other communications are sent out entirely by email lists. Signing up is easy, just click on the subscribe links below to send a blank email using your email address.
DOCKLINES
(subscribe, unsubscribe)Docklines is the newsletter of the CSULB Sailing Association. You will receive emails announcing club events, lessons and other club activities. This is a newsletter list, so you will only get emails approximately twice a month or so. The Docklines subscription is open to anyone, those interested in learning more about the club as well as regular club members.
SCUTTLEBUTT
(subscribe, unsubscribe)In the old days, sailors congregated around the ship's water barrel, the scuttlebutt, to exchange gossip. The Scuttlebutt list is for club discussions and is both a send and receive list. Club members may use the Scuttlebutt list to talk about the club and its boats, club events and other local sailing events, including arranging private sail-time with your fellow club members. This list is limited to active members and has the potential to be fairly high-traffic.
SHIELDS TALK
(subscribe, unsubscribe)This is similar to the Scuttlebutt list, a moderated send/recieve list, but is only open to the club's Shields skippers and Shields skippers-in-training. This is used for arranging skippers for Group Sail Days, Shields maintenance days, and talking about other issues related specifically to the Shields. All club Shields skippers need to be on this list!
