The Feminist Organization for Reclaiming Consciousness and Equality (FORCE) cordially invite you to participate in this Spring 2006 semester's Take Back the Night march, rally, and speak out. Take Back the Night is a collaborative effort to break the silence surrounding, and end violence against women. Historically, Take Back the Night started in England in 1977 as a protest against the violence and fear women encountered walking the streets at night. This semester, Take Back the Night will be held on Wednesday April 19th, 2006 and will coincide with the Sexual Assault Crisis Agency's (SACA) Clothesline Project. The projected route will start behind the CBA building and culminate with a bonfire on the Indian Burial Ground. Sponsoring, participation, and donations for this event are strongly encouraged and welcomed.
