Campus Progressive Meeting - Notes 2 February 2005, Michelle

**Haiti Speaking Tour
-4 events in SoCal (Jeb has flyers)
-Haitian documentary Wednesday, Feb. 16 @ 6:30 CSULB
-Jeb is working with other groups to protest the Brazilian Embassy on Friday, Feb. 18

**Progressives are planning to hold a film series during the month of March tentatively every Thursday @ 5pm in the Beach Auditorium
-if anyone has any suggestions to what movies they would like to see, make suggestions thru the listserve
-there will also be a suggested donation???

**LBCC Progressives wants to a do joint movie events for the month of March
-LBCC will show their films every Monday in March @ 5pm
-LBCC also wants to plan an event/rally in March/April, perhaps a weeklong event, to show unity between the two groups

**The administration is planning once again to build a Rec Center (which will cost us a $30 million loan payed over 30 years). They are building this play center while other departments are getting harsh budget cuts. So, what's the Progressives' plan of action to counter this????
