MINUTES::: Campus Progressive Meeting - Notes 4 February 2004, Zahra Attendance: More than usual, Spring 2003 numbers :) -Christina Avalos (Democrat) visited us. She is running in the 40th Congressional District. There is a volunteer meetup next Wednesday the 11th at 7 pm. For more information visit www.avaloscongress.com -March 18th event to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the illegal occupation. Eisha Mason, Executive Director for the Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence has confirmed, more speakers are in the works.... -UFCW Support: members are encouraged to join the grocery workers on the picket lines at the local grocery stores all the time, but especially Sundays 10-2pm. Feel free to make a sign sayin "CSULB Campus Progressives Support the Grocery Workers." Butcher paper and paint is available for use at the Maxson Center. -Howard Dean campaign: the group has agreed to allow the Dean people to go through us (utilize our STEPS certification and organization name) to table on campus, as long as there is a disclaimer similar to the one used at WOW. -Video Series: Dates being considered are March 23rd or 24th. The video we are considering showing is "Uncovered: the Whole Truth About the Iraq War." That's all folks, sorry if there were any spelling errors, I was in a hurry.
