Jeb is planning a march to take place at the westwood federal building on May 18 to raise awareness of the failed coup in Venezuela. To show the US ties to the failed coup attempt in the ever growing encraochment in Latin America by the United States government. Jeb is going to need all the help he can get and wants to involve as many local Latino groups as possible. Please contact him at jebbathehut@hotmail.com for more info.
- PALESTINE AWARENESS DAY
The Campus Progressives, in connection with the Muslim Student Association, MPAC, and the Anti-war Coalition, are organizing Palestine awareness day on campus May 2nd (Thursday) at 12:00 PM.
- OBJECTIVES: to promote awareness about the crisis in the Middle East and the recent atrocity that took place in Palestine.
- LOCATION/SCHEDULE: the event is going to start with a silent Rally starting from the Pyramid to the speakers' platform, then the speakers will give their speeches, after that we will continue the rally along with the speakers and the students.

- INFORMATIONAL TABLE ON MAY 16
For the final "Event" of the year we are going to be putting together an informational packet/table and having it on campus from 10am-4pm in the Grassy area in front of the Free Speech platfrom. Things included in the packet will be information on the world situation in Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America, Eatern Europe and Western Europe as well as the Middle east, and how the US is involving itself in World Affairs. We are also going to include websites, books, and organizations that deal with the whole range of issues. So if you have any info and would like to contribute to the packet please come to our next meeting.

- March and Rally in support of the Venezuela People, Hugo Chavez, and the Bolivarian Republic - Los Angeles, May 18th, 2002 - 12 noon @ the federal Building 11000 Wilshire Blvd.
- Long Beach Food Not Bombs meets Sundays at Noon at the Long Beach Community Infoshop and serves food at about 3 PM.
