I was born in Torrance, California to my parents that were born in Purepero, Michoacan.  I have to brothers I am an RN and I will come back to Cal State Long Beach to obtain my Bachelors degree in nursing as well. In May of 2002 I married the love of my life that is Guatemalan.

With the little amount of time that I have, I like to go to the beach, swim, play volleyball, roller-skate and going to the gym.  I also like to read. Latin authors write my favorite books, I like to read about our culture, stories of Latinos lives and their struggles.  

My goal is to be the BEST NUSRE I CAN BE and to always be compassionate and caring and to help my community as best as I can. Nursing is very difficult and challenging.  You must be strong-minded and you must have a strong love and desire to want to be a nurse in order to pass all the classes each semester and Graduate.

  I consider joining and being part of LTA an accomplishment.  As interest ladies, we want to become Sisters with a passion, and once we become Sisters we have accomplished that goal.  I became a sister for the SISTERHOOD.  I really liked and admired the unity and the bond between sorority sisters, I do not have a real sister, so I thought I would join for friendships.  I also joined LTA for the community service, I love being able to make a difference in our communities or to make someone smile, and to help other organizations in a time of need. As long as you do not forget why we joined this Sorority, you will always be proud of yourself as a Sister and you will always make the sorority proud of you.
