The National Board of Directors of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. hosted its annual National Convention themed “Piece by piece we come together…staying true to our legacy now and forever” on June 11-13 in Irvine, Calif. The National Board aims to use the convention as a means to honor the sorority's legacy and to inspire and achieve individual and communal aspirations through scholarly and professional excellence, community activism, and woman empowerment. Three hundred members were in attendance from across the nation to participate in the first national event to be hosted on the West Coast. The weekend’s events included professional development workshops, procedural training and bonding sessions of accentuating a legacy that started nearly 30 years ago by our beloved Founding Mothers.
