I am a full-time graduate student…I don’t have any!!! LOL But really…when I get the opportunity, I love to get my ‘boogie on’ with my friends on one of our infamous “roommate nights” or “girls’ nights out”! I enjoy reading, attending plays, and listening to live music. I love people…so any kind of socializing is great! I travel as often as my schedule and bank account permit. New York is my favorite…I’ll be back soon!

How LTA has contributed to my life:

Being a Lambda Lady is engrained in every aspect of my life. LTA introduced me to some of the closest friends ever encountered. These friends have shared in the many positive and negative experiences that life presented over the past four years. These Ladies demonstrated what friendship and Sisterhood is truly about as they supported me through my father’s terminal illness and passing, my academic endeavors and achievements in undergraduate and graduate school, as well the basic ups and downs of living. LTA has significantly enhanced my academic and professional experiences. My membership in LTA was a turning point in my life. Along with the help of other academic programs, LTA exposed me to a world outside of any experiences I had previously encountered. Lambda Theta Alpha helped to show me that the sky is the limit…and has supported me throughout my ongoing journey.

Personal Philosophy:

God’s only asks us to withstand that which we are capable of enduring. When things seem at their worst it is essential to remember that God believes it is a cross worth carrying and absolutely possible. If He has faith in us, we too should have such faith. Every obstacle overcome is a strength acquired.

On the last day of my life I want to look in the mirror and know that although I was not perfect and I wasn’t able to make all people happy all the time, I lived my life with a loving and good heart and shared many smiles. That’s what life is really all about…
