Our goal is to help our members be successful, while having fun along the way. This includes a strong alumni network; our past and present members are more than willing to help one another in their endeavors.
"If you do nothing more than show up to your classes, then you haven't received a full education."
-R. Maxon, Former President of CSULB.
Delta Chi was founded October 13, 1890 at Cornell University. Since then, it has expanded to 126 chapters throughout North America. Our chapter is one of the oldest fraternities at Long Beach State (chartered in 1968), and continues to be one of the most active on campus.
Looking through our chapter you'll find athletes, leaders, and scholars. Our members enjoy a variety of sports including football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, water polo, and baseball. You'll also find a group of student leaders seeking positions in student organizations, taking every opportunity presented to further their involvement in the CSULB campus and Long Beach community.
Enjoying a wealth of social activities (such as parties, social mixers and exchanges with sororities), alumni relations, brotherhood activities, and just plain fun you'll soon come to find that Delta Chi Long Beach is THE fraternity to be a part of.
Some noteable Delta Chi alumni:
The Long Beach Chapter of Delta Chi has had many accomplishments over the years. We were the first fraternity on campus to ever retire the President's cup (awarded to best fraternity on campus). Every year we consistently dominate in sports. We have received awards for having the best community involvement on campus. This past semester we celebrated our 40th anniversary of being on the Long Beach State campus, and we look forward to enjoying the coming years.
