Filing for Graduation

  • Students have to fill Request for graduate form.
  • The following requirements must be fulfilled before filing for graduation.
    • Student should meet the GWAR requirement.
    • Should be in good academic standing(maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0
    • Should have no financial obligations with CSULB.
  • Students have to pay a fee of $45 towards commencement/diploma fee. You can also pay ($10)for program certificate, which is optional.

Fall Preceding Dec 1 through March 1
Winter Preceding Dec 1 through March 1
Spring Preceding May 1 through Oct 15
Summer Preceding May 1 through Oct 15
What if you miss the deadline?
If you miss the deadline dates listed above, you must file a “Request to Apply for Graduation after the Published Deadline”from Enrollment Services (BH-101) along with your “Request to Graduate” form. Follow the instructions on the petition form. You must pay a $10 missed deadline fee. Filing this petition does not guarantee that you will be allowed to graduate at the time you requested.
