Organization Information

Hermanos Unidos De Long Beach California State University strives to establish and maintain a supportive Hermandad for the students of this university through the Nuevo Hombre ideology and an adherence to the three foundational pillars of Hermanos Unidos: Academic Scholarship, Community Service, and Social Interaction. El Nuevo Hombre strives to become a well-rounded, educated Latino.

The three foundational pillars of Hermanos Unidos are Academic Scholarship, Community Service, and Social Interaction. Academic Scholarship reflects the primary reason why an Hermano attends an institution of higher learning: to receive a quality education. Community Service represents an Hermano's commitment to comunity involvement. Social Interaction will seek to make the transition from high school/community college to undergraduate life less traumatic and more meaningful for incoming Hermanos. The fulfillment of the three pillars leads to the development of pertnerships necessary for successfully accomplishing the mission of Hermanos Unidos. Thus, all three pillars should be approached with equal amount of concern, time, and intensity.
