Organization Information

Our purpose is:

  • To provide resources and leadership opportunities for Latina/o, college students and graduates by participating in and organizing community service events, social activities, and academic/professional workshops.

  • To reach out to the Latina/o community and provide resources as well as a family networking system through the avenues provided by the three pillars of Hermanas Unidas, academics, community service, and social events.

  • To provide a place where students can come together and be themselves. We accept all ideologies. We are a sisterhood attempting to provide a healthy transition to and from the university.

  • To raise awareness and educate the campus and the community at large about Latina/o issues.

  • To provide opportunities for community and campus service.

  • To promote ethical leadership, academic achievement, and cultivate civic responsibility.

  • To provide the students opportunities for association and interaction with the faculty and administration of CSULB and the members of the community.
