Dear students and International Student,
It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you
to California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and
to the Chinese Club. The goals of the Chinese Club are to provide the opportunity for sharing history,
culture, knowledge, and perspectives with people from
other countries, as well as the opportunity for helping
one another in studying, promoting ethical leadership
and academic achievement, cultivating civic
responsibility, and providing opportunities for
community and campus services.
CSULB is a beautiful and safe environment,
set on a 320 acres of land in Southern California.
During the regular session CSULB is as large as a small
city. More than 30,000 students, 800 tenured and
tenure-track faculty, 900 lecturers, and nearly 1,200
staff members study and work on campus every day.
I believe that you will find our campus to
be both friendly and appreciative to international
students, and I hope you will feel accepted and at home.
Indeed, all of us here in the Chinese Club look
forward to meet you and get to know you. What will make
us happiest is to see an easy adjustment for you at CSULB and ultimately, the successful completion of your
academic degree at university.
If there is anything you need or any
questions that you would like answered, we hope that you
will not hesitate to contact us so that we can assist
you. I know that the entire Chinese Club members join me in
wishing you the best of luck as you begin your academic
career at California State University, Long Beach.
Sincerely,
Bryan
Wu
President of the Chinese Club
