- AIAA: Airplane Fly-Off
- Wednesday, March 12, 12:15-2PM in the VEC Quad
- Students are to construct an airplane entirely out of an 8.5 X 11 inch piece of paper using only 1'' tape and 1 paperclip (materials provided)
- Paper CANNOT be cut/altered during construction.
- Students will construct the airplane at the time of competition (approximately 15-30 min)
- Every student competing gets 3 chances to fly his/her plane, BEST score of the 3 will be used for judging.
- Winners will be judged based on accuracy of reaching on/near target, and duration of flight
- Preconstructed airplanes will NOT be allowed.
- There will be 3 winners, and will give out monetary prizes/gift certificates from our AIAA Fund
- 1st Place: $75 was won by Chris Kien (who needs directions to the office to claim the prize). Congratulations!
- 2nd Place: $50
- 3rd Place: $25

Big Bent Polish
- Date: Wed., March 19, 12PM-1PM

- Come hang out with other Tau Bates and new initiates during our annual BIG BENT POLISH. Even if you can't make it the whole time, be sure to drop by for as long as you can.
- Location? At the big TBP bent in front of the VEC quad area of course.
- Initiates: This is a mandatory part of the initiation process. Try to make it for at least a part of the polish. If you are still interested in initiation, make sure you come even if you have not been to any of the other events!
