Organization Information

The purpose of this organization is:

• To assist in the advancement and diffusion of knowledge of the science of physics and its applications to human welfare.


• To serve the Department of Physics-Astronomy and the School of Letters and Science of California State University, Long Beach as the recognized Student Departmental Association of the Department of Physics-Astronomy, and to exercise all of the duties, rights, and responsibilities pertaining to such Student Departmental Associations at Long Beach State.


• To maintain a Chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics Honor Society of the American Institute of Physics, as an honor organization within the framework of the Society of Physics Students.
