Requirements
12 semester units in psychology
 
Status as a psychology major/minor
 
An overall GPA of at least 3.0 for all college- level courses
 
Psychology GPA of at least 3.4 (in the psych major)
 
One time processing fee of $60.00 (Dues are spent accordingly: $45 for lifetime national membership, 5$ for Long Beach Chapter, $10 for the chapter activity fund)
 
 
Applications will be available in Spring 2010
 
 
 
The application deadline for PSI CHI membership is on October 15th. Complete Applications should be turned in to the Psychology main office (Psychology Building, Room 100).
The California State University Long Beach chapter of Psi Chi welcomes and encourages the active involvement of all psychology majors in each of our activities. Full and official membership in Psi Chi, however, requires selection based upon criteria determined by the National organization.
Official membership in Psi Chi is an earned lifetime honor. If you are inducted into Psi Chi, you become eligible to wear the Psi Chi honor cord, medallion, jewelry, emblems, etc. at graduation. Copies of Psi Chi's newsletter, Eye on Psi Chi, are sent to each chapter for distribution to the members. The names of new members and activities of chapters are published in Eye on Psi Chi and are preserved for historical purposes.
Benefits of Psi Chi membership:

-Membership to a nationally recognized academic society.
-The United States government recognizes membership in Psi Chi as meeting one of the requirements for entrance at the G5-7 level in the Federal Service.
