Mission Statement
The Human Resource Management
Association shall exist to promote the understanding of
the Human Resource Profession among college students. To
encourage active participation in human relations
research. To provide a link between business and
education and enhance career path opportunities for
college students and provide access to the services
provided by PIHRA and SHRM to students interested in
Human Resource as a potential career.

Code of Ethics
The Human Resources Management Association (HRMA) at
California State University, Long Beach has been adopted
this Code of Ethics for its members to promote the
highest standards of personal conduct. HRMA will
expect that integrity will underline all its
relationships with other organizations, communities and
among members.
Members pledge themselves to:
- Maintain the confidentiality
of privileged information.
- Provide the highest level of
service to all students, faculties, and
communities.
- Treat everyone with respect,
fairness, and good faith.
- Maintain and enhance their
own knowledge and skills by encouraging the
professional development of members.
- Avoid personal or
professional conflicts of interest.
- Comply with all laws, rules,
and regulations.
- Report illegal or unethical
conduct to appropriate authorities.
- Focus attention on the
objectives and policies of CSULB, SHRM, and
PIHRA
