ASCE Pacific South West Conference 2013

It is time to start talking about the annual ASCE Pacific South Western Conference for 2013. Woohoo! This year USC, LMU & Cal Baptist are hosting the conference on the USC campus from April 4-6th. Conference is a chance for us to compete against 18 other schools in events from the steel bridge and concrete canoe to soccer and concrete bowling.

The deadline to register is quickly after we start the fall semester (February 1st), so I wanted to give you all enough time to be aware of what to expect for this year. During the first meeting of the semester we will be going through all of the events that are taking place this year, as well as assign team captains for each event.

I have attached the conference schedule HERE for your review. Be sure to check out the conference website:

In addition, I have also attached this online form to make registering for the PSWC easier. PSWC is definitely one of the best experiences that ASCE has to offer. I would encourage you all to attend to compete and support your fellow members!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I hope you're as excited as I am to kick some butt :)

The Pacific South West Conference (PSWC)is annual conference/competition put on by ASCE where schools from various sections of the Western United States are brought together to compete in various events relating to the civil engineering discipline. The events range from Surveying and Designing a Steel Bridge to even basketball and volleyball competitions that can get pretty competitive.

All in all, the PSWC provides more of an insight to the profession of civil engineering while competing for the rank of top performer. CSULB is very competitive year-by-year and is currently putting together teams for the 2013 PSWC. If you are interested, please check out our Officers page to contact the captains for the either the concrete canoe or steel bridge project, or you may contact Sabrina.
