A Message From Provost Jersky

Dear Campus Community,

A highlight of my year is the week of commencement. From the families’ sense of pride, to our graduates basking in their accomplishment, this time is special for all of us on our campus. 

I wanted to thank our campus partners for pulling together to make this year’s event so successful. We received very positive feedback from families and graduates on the new venue location. 

They appreciated that the space accommodated more graduates and guests per ceremony, and they also had an easier time navigating parking to the ceremony site.

Another interesting point to mention is how many viewed the ceremonies online. Our videos were across three different platforms with a total of 22,327 views. YouTube had the most amount of viewers at 18,048 viewers from over 115 countries.

In Memoriam

Perri J. Stinson passed away March 13, 2018. She was an Information Systems professor, and became Professor Emerita in 1988. She was CSULB's fourth female professor.
