COB Minors Official Declaration Policy Statement

Official College of Business Minor Declaration Requirement Policy

GPA Requirements

Beginning summer 2016, to be eligible for a COB Minor, undergraduate students must be officially declared in a non-College of Business major and have a 3.0 in their overall, CSULB, and major GPA. Due to our current impaction, we will not allow any undeclared or pre-majors, graduate students, or students with any one of their GPA’s below 3.0 to declare a CBA minor.  College of Business CSULB will not accept support from other colleges to add an additional degree objective of a College of Business minor, if any one of the students GPA’s is below 3.0.

Enrollment Requirements

Students may not declare or receive a minor in the same subject as the major, and the major and minor may not have the same title. Minors are awarded only as part of a baccalaureate degree, meaning that you must be pursuing a CSULB major too. You may not finish a minor after graduation. Students who are pursuing a major in Business Administration may not minor in business.

Unit Requirements

A minor consists of a minimum of 15 units, as specified by the department or program, at least nine of which must be upper-division. The minor may be in a single subject or interdisciplinary.
