 Museum Studies Classes 
Art 435
Introduction to Museum Studies.
 Learn the basics of museum practices: the function of the different positions, what goes into an exhibition, budgets, governance, technology in museums, insurance issues, permanent collections, and much more!  This course should be taken first!.
 Class meets Fridays from 1 PM-3:45 PM.  Class includes field trips, in-class projects, papers and exams.

Independant Studies
(Undergraduates and Graduates)
 This class allows you to work independantly either on a project assigned by the instructor, or a project of your own planning which must be approved by the instructor.  If you are a graduate student, check with your adisor to fit this undergraduate class into your program.
Instructor will meet with student at least once a week.  The project, plus a self-evaluation, are due at the end of the  course.

Internship
Prerequisite for this class is Art 435Students will spend 20 hours as an intern either at the University Art Museum or, if possible, at another local museum.  Student and supervisor of internship must submit evaluations at the end of the internship.
