The University Art Museum (UAM) and the Department of Art present the annual
student exhibition, Insights 2005. The exhibit will be on view from Thursday,
May 5, through Friday, May 27, in the UAM and will feature works by both graduate
and undergraduate students from CSULB's Department of Art.
Juried by Department of Art faculty, the exhibition will highlight works
by students in all disciplines including ceramics, fiber, graphic design,
illustration, metal, new genres, printmaking, photography, wood, sculpture,
drawing and painting.
The opening reception on May 5 will be from 6-8 p.m. and will be preceded
by an award ceremony at 5 p.m. in the Steve and Nini Horn Center. The ceremony
will recognize student excellence from the Department of Art during the 2004-05
academic year and will be hosted by department chair David Hadlock. The UAM
is supported, in part, by the Instructionally Related Activities Fund, the
College of the Arts, CSULB, and the Bess J. Hodges Foundation.
