The following is a list of upcoming workshops/classes put on through Staff
Personnel Services to assist and inform employees in a variety of areas.
Friday, May 6, 9-10 a.m.
First Friday for Managers and Supervisors – Facilitated by Tom Angell,
director of Staff Personnel Services, and Leslie Nix-Baker, director of Employee
Relations. All managers and supervisors are encouraged to attend this monthly
informative meeting. Held on the first Friday of every month, it is a great
time to meet other managers, ask questions and stay updated on what's going
on around the university. Each month a different management topic is addressed.
No need to register online. This workshop is located in the Library East,
Room 110.
Friday, May 6, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
How to Prepare for Performance Appraisals – This workshop with
Pat Lynch will help you to prepare for the performance appraisal process.
Employees will learn how to best present themselves and how to document their
performances over the appraisal period.
Thursday, May 12, 10-11:30 a.m.
Fee Waiver Workshop – This practical workshop will cover information
on the Fee Waiver Program. The fee waiver for staff and dependents will be
discussed, as well as the restrictions, tax issues, and the procedures for
participating in this valuable program.
