Kristen Morgin, of the art department, created a 1959 Cadillac hearse out of clay for an exhibit at Scripps College curated by Professor Tony Marsh. The hearse that was built in the ceramics hand-building room is covered with a crust of unfired clay over a framework of wood and wire.
CSULB's annual Pow Wow, an American Indian social celebration, returns to the campus' central quad on Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13. Admission and parking are free.
Dr. Alan J. Heeger, one of three co-winners of the 2000 Nobel Prize in chemistry for his work in conductive polymers, will speak on Wednesday, March 16, during the 28 th annual Nobel Laureate Lecture at CSULB. Admission is free.
