Friday, Aug. 5, 9-10 a.m.
First Friday for Managers and Supervisors – Facilitated by Tom Angell, Director of Staff Personnel Services. A fun and informal training session loaded with “need to know” information.
Tuesday, Aug. 9, 9-11 a.m.
Support Services Workshop – Facilitated by Procurement & Support Services. Everyone is invited to hear updated general information on the following areas: departmental copier program, mail services, materials management, procurement card, University Print Shop and the Quick Copy Center.
Wednesday, Aug. 17, 9-10:30 a.m.
Conflict Resolution: Preventing Molehills from Becoming Mountains – Facilitated by Elizabeth Novack, University Ombuds. This workshop will help you discover that conflict is a healthy way to redress problems, issues, and concerns. You will be given tips to assist you in resolving minor conflicts before they evolve into larger problems.
Thursday, Aug. 18, 9-10:30 a.m.
Understanding the Leave Process – Are you confused about the leave process and the different types of leave? Join us to learn more about maternity/paternity/adoption leave, sick leave, catastrophic leave, funeral leave, military leave, industrial disability leave, non-industrial disability leave, leaves of absence without pay, and family care and medical leave.
Friday, Aug. 19, noon-1:30 p.m.
Adult Children of Aging Parents – This workshop will be held in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Room 108. Anyone caring for an aging relative or parent is invited to this monthly open forum. Prof. Jeanne Bader from gerontology will facilitate the discussion.
