The following is a list of upcoming workshops/classes put on through Staff
Personnel Services to assist and inform employees in a variety of areas.
Thursday, June 16 , 9-11 a.m.
Demystifying the Classification Process – Facilitated by Robyn
Ames, classification manager from Staff Personnel Services, this workshop
is designed to prepare staff going through cycle-review or for others who
are interested in the classification and reclassification process. This
two-hour workshop will go over the basics of classification, including the
objectives of position classification, an explanation of the different types
of classification reviews, tips for preparing for classification reviews,
the reclassification and classification appeal process, and instructions
for preparing position descriptions prior to a classification review.
Friday, June 17, noon-1:30 p.m.
Adult Children of Aging Parents – This workshop will be held in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Room 108. Anyone caring for an aging relative or parent is invited to this monthly open forum. Prof. Jeanne Bader from gerontology will facilitate the discussion.
Tuesday, June 21, 9 a.m-noon
Building Teams That Work for Managers and Supervisors – Learn how to tune in to your employees' needs, to delegate projects based on your team's strengths and weaknesses, and how to build your own confidence as the one who is accountable for the team's success. Register online.

Women's Wellness – This workshop, co-sponsored by Talbert Medical Group, will address women's health issues such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, uterine cancer, women's heart disease, and menopause. Register online.

Staff Personnel Road Show – This is a new program that is scheduled to be offered quarterly. Located in the Foundation Building, Room 204. Join the Staff Personnel Team Members for an informative yet informal discussion of interesting employee-related topics with a Q & A session following. Topics to be addressed this quarter include in-range progressions, reclassification, and in-class progressions.
