Senior University Registration
Registration for the fall semester of CSULB’s Senior University will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 9-10 a.m., in Room 100 of the Human Services and Design building. The building is located at the corner of Palo Verde and Anaheim Road, just west of Lot 9.
To be eligible to sign up for classes, participants must be a minimum age of 50. Following the registration period there will be a membership meeting with Julie Bartolotto, the executive director of the Historical Society of Long Beach, as the guest speaker. Her topic will be "Work History in Your Community."
Fall semester courses run from Monday, Oct. 4, through Friday, Dec. 3. There is a yearly membership fee of $40, plus a $10 charge for each one-and-a-half-hour class taken. Two-hour computer classes have a fee of $35, which includes the cost of materials. Participants can choose from 16 computer classes and among 25 art, history and science courses.
Senior University is a source of a wide variety of courses of interest to individuals 50 years of age and older. There are no academic prerequisites for admission. Classes given through Senior University are for the participants' enjoyment and are offered as part of their life-long learning.
