New Job Search Tool Launching in January
The CSULB Career Development Center (CDC) will launch a new job search tool for students, CSULB staff and alumni on Jan. 7. The new job database, BeachLINK, will enable employers to post current openings ranging from part-time jobs and internships for students, to executive positions for experienced alumni. The job database is powered by Symplicity and managed by the CDC. BeachLINK will make it easier to manage job search needs at the user's convenience – 24 hours a day, seven days a week – on campus, or from the convenience of your home computer . "BeachLINK gives us the ability to provide a higher level of service to our customers---students, alumni, faculty and staff," said Robin Lee, director of CSULB's Career Development Center. "With so many internet-based job search sites available, we definitely didn't want to switch to a new vendor unless we found good reason to do it. BeachLINK is a much more interactive and cutting edge product over our old vendor, MonsterTRAK, and we felt a switch was the right move to make." BeachLINK will contain searchable listings for undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni seeking part- and full-time positions, internships, and on- and off-campus jobs.
