Sometimes, it's difficult to get that hands-on experience you need to get the job you eventually would like to have. CSULB's Community Service Learning Center provides numerous opportunities for students to get out into the community and assist others, while also giving them the opportunity to get that much-needed experience.


The Center for the Commercial Deployment of Transportation Technologies (CCDoTT) at CSULB, has received $4.3 million for the 2004 fiscal year from the United States Department of Defense through the Office of Naval Research , announced CSULB President Robert C. Maxson.

The Odyssey Project and German Studies Program at CSULB will present an exhibition of 28 works on papers titled “GROUND ZERO September 11th , 2001 – World Trade Center – New York City” beginning Monday, Oct. 11, in the campus' Design Gallery.

The ProcessOdyssey launches its 2004-05 season, “The Process: Creativity Reviled and Revealed,” featuring a series of major speakers, performances and films to be presented throughout the year.

The Honorable H. H. S. Viswanathan, the Consul General of India, who is based in San Francisco, will discuss “India – U.S. Relations” on Monday, Oct. 11, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Karl Anatol Center (Academic Service Building, Room 110) at CSULB.


Transfer students will have until Friday, Oct. 15 to apply for the Spring 2005 semester at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB).
