Senior University Seeks Instructors
Senior University, an Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at CSULB, is looking for interested individuals who would like to share their passion about their respective discipline or a favorite hobby, and teach a class for Senior University members. Volunteer instructors dedicate a few hours a week for a six- to eight-week session to teach participating semi-retired or retired adults. Fall 2004 semester courses run from Monday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Dec. 3. Current classes range from art history and music to geology and computer science, but Senior University is always open to new ideas. Senior University is a source of a wide variety of courses of interest to individuals 50 years of age and older. There are no academic prerequisites for admission, just a desire to learn. Classes given through Senior University are for the participants’ enjoyment and personal enrichment, and are offered to encourage their life-long learning. If you or someone you know may have an interest in teaching a class, please call 562/985-8237 for more information. |
