The Office of University Research (OUR) and the Faculty Center for Professional Development will hold its summer workshop for faculty called The Scholarly Writing Institute (SWI). The sessions will take place Tuesday-Thursday, June 5-7, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Karl Anatol Center.
The SWI is a two-and-one-half day intensive workshop to assist faculty in completing a substantial amount of writing on a specific scholarly writing project.
The program will provide participants 12 hours of dedicated writing time and resource consultants who are recognized for their expertise in specific areas such as editing, illustration, and statistical analyses. Consultants will be included in the institute depending on the types of challenges individual faculty face.
Faculty interested in registering for The Scholarly Writing Institute are asked to have most of their research completed and to have a laptop or desktop computer available for their use.
It is important for faculty attendees to attend all three days of the workshop. Access the SWI registration form at the Office of University Research Web site (see “Educational Opportunities”) or at the Faculty Center for Professional Development Web site (see Events/Workshops).
